How the Optimal Well‑Being Method™ Helped Cindy Lower Her A1C, Improve Cholesterol, and Lose Weight.

I still remember the day Cindy came to me.

She was juggling a 9–5, running a busy home, raising two kids, and showing up for everyone around her.

From the outside, her life looked perfect. A successful career. High six-figure income. A loving husband and 2 beautiful kids.

The kind of life people admire.

But no one knew… she was running on caffeine just to get through the day. Her stubborn weight wouldn’t budge, no matter what she tried. She hated to look at herself in the mirror. Even before she realized, she had started hiding behind her family in pictures. Avoiding parties because nothing felt good on her anymore.

She was dragging her feet everyday as she was tired, fatigued and drained. By the end of the day, she had no energy left for her kids, her husband and for herself. Her A1C kept climbing. She was also trying to navigate high cholesterol, post meal energy dips, stubborn weight, and cravings.

Most importantly, Cindy wasn’t lazy nor she lacked discipline.
She had tried everything under the Sun. Cutting carbs, eating less and exercising harder, intermittent fasting, juice detox, water fasting, Keto, Atkins, weight watchers, paleo, mediterranean diet but nothing seem to work. She lost 20 lbs and gained 30 back. Her efforts didn’t get results that she desired which left her feeling miserable. She lost confidence in herself and in the diet culture.

That’s when she came to me. She didn’t come asking for a meal plan. She came with a hope to get her old life back. She came exhausted. She was tired of trying new plans which barely worked. She has spent several hundred dollars just to fail few months down the road.
She was frustrated, exhausted and afraid.

Once she started with The Optimal Well-Being Method™ we followed a simple, structured approach. Based on Ayurveda+Science, The Optimal Well-Being Method™ is a personalized framework that addresses the root causes instead of symptoms. Through a detailed multi‑point assessment inside the Optimal Well‑Being Method, we identified her Prakruti, which is her natural mind‑body blueprint, and how far you have shifted from it. We also evaluated the state of her Agni, which reflects her digestion and metabolism, and the amount of Ama, which reflects toxic buildup.

With this clarity, I designed her personalized well-being pathway based on 3 pillars.

1. Mindful Eating

We focused on food that her body could actually digest and use.

Meals that supported her digestion.
Meals that gave her steady energy.
Meals aligned with her body and not trends.

This wasn’t about eating less or about eating salads.
It was about eating right.

2. Mindful Movement

We didn’t jump into intense workouts.

We built movement around her energy, her schedule, and her body.

Strength training. Walking. Yoga, Swimming, Pilates.
Gentle, consistent movement.

Not to burn calories but to improve insulin sensitivity, build strength, balance hormones, and restore energy.

3. Calming the Nervous System (Five-Sense Therapy)

This was the missing piece.

Her body was constantly in “go mode.”
Stress was driving everything: cravings, fatigue, poor sleep, post meal crashes.

We worked on calming her system.

Simple daily practices that helped her body shift out of fight-or-flight…
and into a state where healing could actually happen.

The First Shift

This approach became a turning point in her life. It lowered her inflammation, boost her metabolism, balanced her hormones and rebuild emotional resilience. Her weight began to drop, her sleep improved, her afternoons didn’t feel like a crash anymore.
Her mind felt clearer and she wasn’t constantly thinking about food.

And for the first time in a long time…
she felt a little bit of control coming back.

The Progress That Followed

Over time, her body started responding. In 4 weeks, joint pain, allergies and cravings disappeared. She started gentle strength training, yoga, and walking 10k steps daily. She lost 4 lbs which is not much but she was thrilled to see the scale move which was stuck for years. Her husband noticed her spark returning.

The weight began to move.
Her energy improved.
Her cravings became quieter.

But those weren’t even the biggest wins. At 3 months, she was down by 12 lbs, and clothing size dropped from 1XL to XL. At 6 months, she lost 20 lbs, dropped to size L and her A1C dropped to 5.7.

The Real Transformation

Twelve months later, Cindy was a different woman.

She released over 30 lbs, slipped into a size 14, and watched her labs transform:

A1C down to 5.4
Cholesterol to 165
Triglycerides to 138
LDL to 85

Her doctor couldn’t believe the change.

But the best part?

She feels alive again, energized, confident, and deeply connected with her husband. She started showing up in pictures again.

She said yes to plans she used to avoid. She had the energy to be present with her kids.

And slowly… her confidence came back.
