II believe every individual has a unique story of challenges and triumphs and mine is no exception.

Growing up, I struggled deeply with body image and self-esteem. On the outside, I forced a smile. On the inside, I was utterly exhausted. My daily energy was chronically low, my intense cravings controlled my choices, and my happiness depended entirely on the number on the scale.

In my teens, without proper guidance or support, I fell into unhealthy eating patterns and the frustrating loop of yo-yo dieting. At the same time, I watched my father battle severe metabolic health issues and Type 2 Diabetes. Witnessing his journey became the profound turning point that pushed me into a lifelong scientific and personal quest to understand health at a root-cause level.

The Scientific Disconnect

Driven by a desire for answers, I pursued academia, ultimately completing my Master’s in Microbiology & Biotechnology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Lab Technology. I dove deep into studying cellular biology, clinical markers, and standard modern nutrition. I learned the conventional rules of calories, macros, and calorie deficits.

But something didn't add up. If weight management were simply a math equation of calories in versus calories out, why didn’t everyone following the same generic diet and exercise plan see the same results?

That question changed my life.

I realized that true vitality is not just about quantity; it is about cellular quality. It is about honoring hormones, biological individuality, digestive fire, metabolic efficiency, sleep quality, and underlying stress. There is absolutely no one-size-fits-all approach to human biology. This realization led me to Ayurveda, the ancient science of lifestyle medicine that beautifully filled the gaps modern nutrition could not.

The Personal Transformation

Through years of rigorous study, personal experimentation, and deep lifestyle shifts, I systematically transformed my biology. Today, in my late 50s, I am living proof of the power of this intersection:

  • 70 pounds lighter and sustainably maintaining it for years.

I maintained these exact results even while navigating the hormonal shifts of menopause entirely without crash diets, extremes, or biological burnout. But the real transformation wasn’t just physical. I rebuilt my confidence, learned true self-compassion, and stopped fighting my body so I could finally start honoring it.

Why I Do This Work

I know exactly what it feels like to bounce from one frustrating diet to the next, only to regain the weight and damage your metabolic momentum. I know what it feels like to hide behind baggy clothes, avoiding family events and parties in the fear of judgment, and to struggle daily with energy crashes, bloating, and constant cravings.

I also know that deep systemic healing is entirely possible.

Like the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken pottery is beautifully repaired with gold, I believe our historical struggles can become our ultimate strength. My personal wounds became my biological wisdom. My pain became my purpose.

Today, combining over 10 years of advanced degrees and elite credentials including my National Board Certification (NBC-HWC), laboratory sciences background, ivy-league Cornell nutrition training, and status as a Certified Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner I have made it my absolute mission to guide others toward lasting healthspan optimization.
